September 27th, 2019 – Raleigh, NC — Compass Records celebrated a series of wins at the 2019 IBMA Awards last night at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in Raleigh, NC. Michael Cleveland once again made history winning FIDDLE PLAYER OF THE YEAR for the 12th time, the most wins in that category, along with INSTRUMENTAL PERFORMERS OF THE YEAR as Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper.
Missy Raines scored two big wins for BASS PLAYER OF THE YEAR for the 8th time and INSTRUMENTAL RECORDING OF THE YEAR for the track “Darlin’ Pal(s) of Mine” (featuring Mike Bub, Todd Phillips, and Alison Brown) from her recent album, ROYAL TRAVELLER, produced by Compass co-founder Alison Brown.
