Singer/songwriter/banjoist Kelly Hunt joins the Compass roster with her new album, OZARK SYMPHONY. Produced by Dirk Powell, and featuring special guests Mike McGoldrick, Natalie Haas and Kai Welch, the new album showcases Hunt on a set of original songs informed by her connection to the Ozark region that shaped her both personally and musically. Following on the heels of her 2019 Folk Alliance album of the year nomination, the new album establishes Hunt as a vital voice in Americana music in the vein of traditional modernists Gillian Welch and Anais Mitchell.
The Bluegrass Situation premiered the album’s first single “On the Bayou” today.
