THE PROCLAIMERS ANNOUNCE 28 DATE NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

9a0bda58137a0745c9523e66_1238x1914 (2).jpgThe Proclaimers have announced a 28 date North American tour to promote the release of their 10th studio albumLET’S HEAR IT FOR THE DOGS.  Strikingly individual, twin brothers Craig and Charlie Reid have over the years enjoyed huge successes across the globe and have carved a niche for themselves where pop, folk, new wave and punk collide.  The emotional honesty, political fire, wit and sing-along raucousness of their songs and their extensive touring has enlightened and entertained fans new and old.
For example, the brothers recently celebrated the first win of the Hibernian FC in Scotland in over 114 years. The players and fans sang along with The Proclaimers “Sunshine On Leith” performance after the Scottish Cup victory.
On Let’s Hear It For The Dogs, The Proclaimers share their gift for crafting soulful pop songs that are as gloriously catchy as they are a voice of unabashed, heart-on-their-sleeves romantics. The album was recorded at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales and was produced by Dave Eringa (The Who, Wilko Johnson & Roger Daltrey, The Manic Street Preachers, Idlewild) and features their live band, Stevie Christie (keyboards), Garry John Kane (bass), Zac Ware (electric guitar) and Clive Jenner (drums) with additional guitars by Sean Genockey and an appearance by the Vulcan String Quartet.
The band has enjoyed Gold and Platinum singles and albums in US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand and are best known for the songs “I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles),” “Sunshine on Leith,” “I’m On My Way,” and “Letter from America,”. Their tour kicks off in Alexandria, VA and takes them through several dates in Canada and wraps up at Solana Beach in California.
